These terms govern your organisation’s use of the PlotWeaver API, dashboard and related services (the “Services”) provided by PlotWeaver Limited, company number 16189457 (“PlotWeaver”, “we”). If your organisation has signed a separate agreement with us, that agreement takes precedence where it differs from these terms.
1. Accounts
Accounts are created by PlotWeaver for business customers. You are responsible for the people you allow to use your account, for keeping passwords and API keys confidential, and for all activity under your keys. Tell us promptly at info@plotweaver.app if you suspect a key or account has been compromised.
2. Use of the Services
You may use the Services to build and run your own products. You agree not to:
- clone, imitate or synthesise the voice of any person without that person’s clear permission;
- use the Services to deceive, defraud, harass or impersonate others, or to create content that is unlawful or infringes anyone’s rights;
- attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls or usage metering, or to reverse engineer our models;
- resell or provide direct access to the API as a standalone service without our written agreement.
We may suspend access that breaches these terms or puts the Services or other customers at risk. Where possible we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the issue.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to the text, audio and voice recordings you submit (“Inputs”) and, as between you and us, to the audio, transcripts and translations the Services return for you (“Outputs”). You give us permission to process Inputs and Outputs only as needed to provide, secure and support the Services. You confirm you have the rights and permissions needed for the Inputs you submit, including consent from any speaker whose voice you upload.
4. Our technology
PlotWeaver owns the Services, our models, voices and software. Built-in voices may be used in your Outputs, but not to create competing voice models or datasets.
5. Fees
Fees are set out in your order or agreement with us and are based on usage recorded by the Services, such as characters synthesised or minutes transcribed. Usage reports are available in the dashboard. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are payable within 30 days.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Services available and reliable, but unless a service level is agreed in writing they are provided as available. We may improve or change features; we will give reasonable notice before removing a feature you rely on or making a change that requires work on your side.
7. Confidentiality and data protection
Each party will protect the other’s confidential information. Our handling of personal data is described in our privacy policy. Where we process personal data on your behalf, we do so as your processor and on your instructions.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and each party’s total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees paid or payable by you for the Services in that period.
9. Ending the agreement
Either party may end the agreement on 30 days’ written notice, or immediately if the other party materially breaches it and does not fix the breach within 14 days of notice. When it ends, your access stops and we will delete your content within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records by law.
10. General
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
